The Vietnamese have lots of delicious foods (a very rich culinary tradition) but one I am in no hurry to try is dog.
While in Sapa, we found a guy cooking a dog on a spit in the market. And then, on our way to the airport in Hanoi, we passed a lady cooking a dog on the side of the road--literally on the side! The She was crouched down with the charred beast on laying in the grass, fanning a flame beside it. I mean, the thing wasn't even above the fire! We cracked up laughing (along with a few other people on the bus) because the sight was just so uncanny.
Always expect the unexpected in Vietnam.
